Latkes are traditionally eaten by Jews during the Hanukkah festival, but actually they are good to eat all year around. This potato pancakes are made with grated potato, flour and egg, often flavored with grated onion or garlic and seasoning.
Ingredients- 6 potatoes - 2 onions - 2 cloves of garlic - 2 eggs - 5 tablespoons flour - Salt and pepper to taste - Oil for frying
Sour cream to eat with. |
Peel and grate the potatoes on a thin grater. |
Strain the potatoes and squeeze them with your hand to take out all the water they have. |
Grate the onion on a thin grater. |
Smash the garlic and add it to the onion in the potato bowl. Add the eggs. |
Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the flour |
and mix until there are no more lumps. Put the oil pan height of about 1 cm and fry until brown. |
Place the laktes in a bowl with some paper towels to absorb the extra oil. Eat with sour cream. Serve warm. |
