Ingredients

- 500g of polenta flour (yellow corn flour)

- 2lt of water

- 1 tablespoon of salt

 

Also needed a pot with a thick bottom

Weigh the polenta flour. Put 500ml of water in a pot and heat it. Add salt.

Just before the water starts to boil (just when you start to see the bubbles forming at the bottom of the pot), add the polenta flour and stir constantly with a whisk.

Continue to stir for about 10 min until the flour gradually absorbes the water.

Cover the pot and let the polenta cook for 45-50 min, occassionally stirring it with a wooden spoon. The cooking time depends on the kind and thickness of your flour.
The polenta will partly stick to the bottom of the pot, it's normal! To easily clean the pot, leave it full of water for some hours. The polenta will come out alone.
