Raisin and Almond Basmati Rice

Ingredients

- 1 cup of long grain rice

- oil for frying

- 2 cups of water

- 1/2 teaspoon of salt

- 1 large onion

- 50g sliced almonds

- 50g of chopped raisins

- 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Toast the rice for a few minutes in a dry pan, add water and salt and bring to a boil.

Cook covered for 20 min, then leave covered with no heat for 10 min. Spread in oven pan. Fry onions.

 

Add the onions to the rice. Chop the almonds.

Roast the almonds and, when they are almost ready, add the raisins. Add to the rice.

Put the chicken bouillon and pepper in the rice pan and mix them.

Cover it with aluminum foil and cook in the oven at 180°C (370F) for 25 min without taking off the cover. Serve Warm.
