IngredientsFor the meat:- 500 g ground beef - 5 tablespoons bread crumbs - Italian parsley, chopped - 1 egg - 80g of mushrooms - salt and pepper Sauce:- 2 cans of tomato sauce - 1 onion, finely chopped 180g mushrooms - boiling water as needed - olive oil - salt

Dice an onion and let it sweat in a pan with some olive oil. Chop the mushrooms and add them in the pan and stir until they get soft. |
Add the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes. If it gets too dense you can add some boiling water (then adjust again with salt and pepper) |
In a mixing bowl add: the ground meat, finely chopped mushrooms, |
itaian parsley, chopped, bread crumbs, one egg, |
Salt and pepper. Mix with a fork or with your hands until everything is incorporated. Make small balls (about 3cm diameter) with your hands. |
Set the meatballs aside to add them all together in the sauce. |
Add the meatballs in the sauce, genlty stir to make sure all are at least half covered with sauce, cover the pan and cook for about 30 minutes until the meat is cooked. Check them once or twice to turn them and be sure they cook both sides. |
