Chili con Carne is a Spanish dish that became popular in South America. Monique, our German friend, cooked it once and we found it delicious, so we asked her to cook it a second time with us for the blog! Thanks!
Ingredients- 1 kg of potatoes - 2 onions - 2 red bell peppers - 600g (1.3lb) of ground beef - 300ml of hot water - 1 can of black beans - 1 tablespoon of soup stock - 150g of tomato paste - paprika, chili pepper, salt and pepper

Peel and cut the potatoes and the onions. Cut the red bell peppers. |
In a pot heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the ground beef and fry it for few min. |
Add paprika, chili peppers, salt and pepper as you like. |
When the meat is not red anymore add the onions, the red bell peppers and the potatoes and mix. |
Add the black beans and mix again. Add 300ml of hot water. |
Add 1 tablespoon of soup stock (vegetable or meat one) and mix. Add the tomato paste. |
Mix everything and be sure there is enough water. Cover the pot and leave it cook for 30 min. |
When it's ready serve hot in a bowl, you can decorate it with sour cream. Enjoy! |
