Chili con Carne is a Spanish dish that became popular in South America. Monique, our German friend, cooked it once and we found it delicious, so we asked her to cook it a second time with us for the blog! Thanks!

Ingredients

- 1 kg of potatoes

- 2 onions

- 2 red bell peppers

- 600g (1.3lb) of ground beef

- 300ml of hot water

- 1 can of black beans

- 1 tablespoon of soup stock

- 150g of tomato paste

- paprika, chili pepper, salt and pepper

Peel and cut the potatoes and the onions. Cut the red bell peppers.

In a pot heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the ground beef and fry it for few min.

Add paprika, chili peppers, salt and pepper as you like.

When the meat is not red anymore add the onions, the red bell peppers and the potatoes and mix.

Add the black beans and mix again. Add 300ml of hot water.

Add 1 tablespoon of soup stock (vegetable or meat one) and mix. Add the tomato paste.

Mix everything and be sure there is enough water. Cover the pot and leave it cook for 30 min.
