Light Chocolate Cake

very simple recipe medium time servings 6

We discovered this cake from the blog of Martha Stuart, we were looking for a good cake that not containe butter and that was as light as possible but with chocolate! We also add nuts and Amaretti biscuits to decorate it! You can serve it in small squares as bownies or in slices as normal cake.

Ingredients

- 80g flour

- 25 g dark cocoa powder

- 120g of dark chocolate chips

- 1/2 teaspoon of salt

- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

- 120g of brown sugar

- 2 eggs

- 120g of apple sauce

- 100g of sour cream (we used non-fat one)

- 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil

- chopped nut/almonds (to decorate the top)

- 10 amaretti biscuits

In a bowl mix: 80g of flour, 25g of cocoa powder, salt, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.

In the microvawe or in a pot melt 60g of chocolate chips (save the other half for decorate the cake). In a second bowl put: 120g brown sugar, 120g apple sauce.

Add: 100g of sour cream and 2 eggs. Mix. Add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Add the melted chocolate. Add spoon by spoon the flour mix.

In a cake pan add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and spread it on the bottom. Add the cake dough and spread it uniformly.

On the top add: chocolate chips, chopped nuts and the amaretti biscuits.

Cook the cake in the oven 180°C (360F) for about 30 min. Check with a wook stick the center, if it's still wet it's fine, it doesn't heve to be dry! You can serve it in small squares as bownies or in slices as normal cake.
